Hi Ladies,

My name is Dawn Frey, I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer January of 2007, had three surgeries, radiation and 18 months of chemo. During the time of my heavy treatment, when I was bald an organization called Let's Rock and Roll for a Cure, came to my house and provided me with free homebound Yoga, mediation, support and restaurant gift cards.

I explained to the ladies of the organization when I get better and have my energy back I would help organize a event to raise money for Memorial Sloan Kettering Breast Cancer Research and Women's Wellness programs. I was always one to give back to the community and help others therefore, I have organized a run and Concert which is scheduled for October 4, 2008. Starts at Alley Pond Park/Springfield Blvd, Bayside, NY and ends at Mulcahy's Pub and Concert Hall, Wantagh, NY.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and I am doing this event to help find cures, treatments and help to provide wellness programs to give women the strength they need to get through a challenging time in their lives. It is stated that 1 at of 8 women in Long Island, NY are diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Therefore, I am hoping your club can join the run and help spread the word of the importance of helping to find a cure.

I am wondering if you have a contact for a CT chapter… if there is one. I am trying to find a group to ride with… I have a 2007 HD sportster and I have just over 2600 miles on it I got it last year and I don't have anyone to go to rides with or to find out about rides, so I thought I would see if there was a women's group to ride with and I came across this one but couldn't find out if they are in CT and if they are who to contact or a website to read about and get in touch with someone!

I am so proud to ride next to my daughter, even though I'm just a passenger...after all, I gave her the first rides when she was in utero...after a spill on the Laconia racetrack at 4am, I vowed Irene would never know about motorcycles...but, y'know...fate don't hold no punches!
